The Lore

Okay this blog is going to be quite a rant. I'll admit Discord wasn't always bad. In fact I was an ex-partner back in 2019. I originally joined Discord since my old school that I graduated from hosted clubs on Discord. I chilled in gaming club, participated in a Dungeons and Dragons club, and made some friends. I also even hosted some small communities that was made up of me and some of my school friends and some of their friends. The communities did pretty well. The main one which was an LGBTQ+ friendly hangout community (obviously my parents didn't know about that server. They are the same ones who kicked me out into the world with nothing purely becuase I am transgender.) even reached the milestone that you could partner with Discord at.

You can probably guess how common trolls were going by it was a public LGBTQ+ server. One decided to spam report a ton of messages containing bot commands. My server relied on bot commands for moderation. That troll got the whole server and my first account nuked out of existence (my god that is even easier nowadays going by Discord relies on AI to moderate things). It sucked for real. I was very different back then where I was more relaxed and just went 'Eh, I can just start over from scratch.'

Enter Freestyle Community. This community was co-made with my friend Freestyle (now known as Erik Yael). He was a funny guy and people from my current friend group call him crazy. I still remember the one time where he got locked out of his originally Discord account, made a new one, joined the server, and filled every field on moderator application form with 'gimme admin'. My friend group thought Freestyle was a little bit too crazy so we ended up splitting the community Freestyle. He was still part of it. Freestyle Community was rebranded to Guggi Community.

Guggi Community was a pretty big step up. This era was when I introduced some fun things such as free season passes with cosmetic roles which is still alive in a different form today! I'm pretty sure this was the era I met my future wife Nia in. I held pretty big influence to how we ran our community to this day. Sometime in November my parents decided to absolutely nuke my server because they wanted to spend more time on school and reading their book of fables called the Catholic Bible. I was pissed. Both in my opinion are a waste of time. I was more successful without both.

Yes! I know it's a long autobiography. We're are getting close to the Discord going downhill part.

In 2022 I returned and rallied my friends who were still on Discord. We began MEGAGaming's Hideout which was a community that was named after my original now deleted YouTube channel. This was when we noticed Discord changed. When me and Digby were setting the server up Discord decided to try and extort Digby for a phone number because adding moderation bots is suspicious behavior. My account also got terminated for the same thing. This was definitely the AI moderation Discord was experimenting with at the time.

This was when me and my friends went to try out Guilded. I had an account made in 2021 before the Total Atomic Annihilation that Guggi Community got struck by. We liked how Guilded was. It had a bunch of Discord's Nitro features free and stuff Discord never had at the time. There was a time where we all mained Guilded (before the whole Roblox account requirement scenario).

Let's fast forward to when my friends finally convinced me to make another Discord account. The new server was called Isabelle Community which met the same fate as MEGAgaming's Hideout. We just ended up letting Digby do whatever he wanted with that server since well only he had admin perms and he couldn't assign it to anyone else because of how the roles were set up. It was either everyone has to see an eyesore role list and heirarchy or just let him take over. I'm someone who'd go insane seeing two different admin roles of the same name.

I then started Infinity Community with a bunch of my friends. I was being extra cautious this time making sure not to trip the Discord AI Automod. Three new people came to the staff team. I'm keeping the first two's names anonymous cause they do some crazy shit later on. The first person I'll call The Imposter and the second British E-Gangster. The third person was Nia's cousin Alex Jasper Lewis (aka AJ). He and Nia had recently came to the US and got stuck in the US cause Nia forgot her wallet.

Imposter and British E-Gangster were acting sus later on. Imposter used Mee6 and a bot they to do let's just say cause chaos and then claimed 'He Got Hacked' on the first occasion (first time we let them off cause Discord account hijackings is extremely common especially since the fake free Nitro scam was all over Discord). Second occasion was what really screwed with us all and to put it simply it made me want to jump off a bridge (which I nearly did if Digby's boyfriend Sherry wasn't there.) and AJ ditch Discord. The second time really got to us going by Discord was inspired by the movie The Purge (all crime is legal for a day in that movie). However Discord decided to remove Trust and Safety Tickets for a whole month and that was the only way to report Discord psychopaths. Thankfully Discord later added in-app reporting. But the damage was done. A bunch of us were scarred because The Purge allowed people to post stuff that absolutely would not fly if Discord had reporting at the time.

After Imposter was yeeted out of the server he also worked with British E-Gangster to nuke our whole server making it so we just had to delete the server and make a new one. Now the new server survived 2024 to up to 2025 with almost no problems with the small event of one desperate for attention raider. However now was when Discord's massive problems are starting to appear. Discord added AI art theft tools. Discord bans a safety bot named RoCleaner. Discord allows bad actors to run around scot-free. Discord's AI automod got worse (I'm sure Geometry Dash, Destiny 2, Cyberpunk, Trials, Retro Games, and Racing Games players know what I'm talking about). Discord also replaced thier CEO with someone who worked with Blizzard/King/Microsoft/McKinsey & Co. Because I don't want to spend the next 40 minutes writing about everything bad that the three companies did I'm going to make a list of sources you can check out off this page.
